Nashville’s 2015 In Real Estate

GroundLevelViewFrom multi-million dollar skyline projects to city changing real estate deals, 2015 has been another hot year for real estate in Nashville.  We have certainly seen unprecedented growth this year, so as we close the door on 2015 and look forward to 2016 let’s take a look at real estate news in Nashville this year.

    Nashville’s 2nd Tallest Building Planned

When looking at the Nashville skyline, your eye automatically goes to the iconic Batman Building.  Very soon you’ll notice another tower rivaling the ATT&T tower.  Developer Tony Giarratana has planned a 45-story residential building  called “505”.  The massive project will contain over 500 apartments.  At the corner of 5th Ave and Church St., “505” will bring luxury living to the heart of Nashville.

    Golf Anyone?

Two of the biggest real estate stories in Nashville this year involve golf.

Topgolf International Inc has begun talking about building a high tech driving range on the river’s east bank.  This won’t be your ordinary driving range.  This one will have microchips in the golf balls that tell you how far you hit them and how accurate you are.  Not only will you be able to pound the little white balls, but you will have the enjoyment of live music, the ability to play pool, Xbox, and shuffleboard.

The other big golf project involves one of the most famous golfers in the world, Tiger Woods.  Woods visited Thompson Station in Williamson County this year where he hopes to develop his 2nd U.S. golf course.  Woods along with Dallas-based Beacon Land Development is proposing a $160 million development project that would include a golf course and 900 residences.  Now, if only we could get a major championship held here we could definitely move up in the golf world.

    Massive Projects Going On Everywhere

There are so many real estate development projects going on in Nashville it is hard to keep them straight.  One report estimates there are 123 projects valued at over $2.5 billion.  That’s billion with a B!  At least 25 of these projects are estimated to be over $100 million each.  Projects include office skyscrapers, apartment towers, luxury hotels, and any manner of mixed-use developments.

With all this exciting news of city growth, it’s no wonder thousands of people are moving to Nashville and surrounding areas each and every month.  Good jobs, breath-taking landscapes, low taxes, major events, nice weather, and close proximity to other cities are all the amazing selling points of our beautiful city, however, we think it’s the wonderful people that separate us from all other major cities.

If you are thinking about calling Middle Tennessee home in 2016, we’d love to help you find the home of your dreams.
