4 Game Day Recipes that Will Make You the Hit of the Party

Football season is back, which means it is now time again to join with family and friends to watch your favorite team. In addition to the quality time with loved ones and football, what makes game day get togethers extra special is the food. To ensure you are the hit at the next game day party, try one (or more) of these game day recipes. These four dishes are can’t miss dishes at the next party you host or attend, and they are something everyone at the party will certainly enjoy.

Easy and delicious game day recipes

The key to a great game day recipe is making something that is easy to eat and delicious. Also, some foods simply go better on game day than others. Four game day recipes you should consider trying include chicken taquitos with ranch, super nachos, pigs in a blanket and classic hot wings.

Chicken taquitos with ranch

Many shy away from serving chicken taquitos as they assume they are hard to make. However, as delicious and unique as they may be, chicken taquitos are simply fried tortilla shells that are filled with chicken and cheese. All you will need to make chicken taquitos is shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, monterey jack cheese and corn tortillas, along with your favorite spices, and, of course, be sure to serve with ranch or dipping cheese sauce. You can find a full recipe here.

Super nachos

Super nachos are easy to prepare and takes less than an hour. To make super nachos, you will need corn tortilla chips (preferably different colors), pico de gallo salsa, beef and beans topping, cheese sauce and your favorite additional toppings such as sour cream, black olives, pimento and avocado. You can follow the cooking instructions here. You can also put your own twist to it, such as substituting the beef and beans for chicken.

Pigs in a blanket

Pigs in a blanket is a very simple dish that is perfect for game days, and you can make the dish a little fancier as well with this recipe. It should take approximately 30 minutes to make (12 minutes of cooking time). For the ingredients, you will need crescent dough, beef hotdogs (or cocktail franks), toasted white sesame seeds, dijon mustard, dried minced garlic and dried minced onion. Of course, if you are in a hurry, sticking to crescent dough and beef hotdogs and baking them can work as well.

Classic hot wings

There may not be a more universal football dish than hot wings. They are delicious and easy to prepare. All you will need to make classic buffalo-style hot wings is chicken wings, hot pepper sauce, blue cheese for dipping and celery sticks to serve along with the hot wings. You can find the entire recipe and cooking instructions here. You can bake them if desired, or you can fry them first and then bake them for a crispier taste and faster cooking time.
