Jonathan Harmon
Eager to Serve
As a long term resident of Rutherford County, Jonathan Harmon is knowledgeable and passionate about his community. Jonathan started his career as an educator, teaching economics and other business related fields at Blackman High School, where he also coached wrestling. In 2009, Jonathan pursued his dreams to be self-employed and ventured in to real estate. For more than 16 years Jonathan has been serving his clients, building his business and still can't believe he fulfilled his entrepreneurial desires and loves it! Jonathan and many of his clients describes him as an adviser, confidant, advocate and teacher. Jonathan Harmon is a licensed broker, Realtor and team leader with Exit Realty, Bob Lamb and Associates. With over 800 transactions in 16 years, Jonathan decided to grow, and, in 2018, started building the J.Harmon Home Team. Through many twists and turns that typically accompany teams, JHHT is now 3 agents and a dynamic assistant.
Jonathan is a huge supporter of local businesses. He has been known as "The Connector". He is always seeking connections in the community and putting others together. Harmon co-hosts "This Week In Real Estate" with his friend and trusted mortgage lender, Bryan Nale. Harmon has been a proud Rotary member for over 10 years. He currently serves as the vice president/president elect for the MTSU Blue Raider Athletic Association and is on the board for the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce. He previously served on the boards for the Main Street Foundation, MTSU National Alumni Association, Carpe Artista, Smyrna Senior Activity Center and several others. He enjoys serving his community in many ways, including hosting events for non-profits. He has opened his home for the Main Street Summer Party, the MTSU Alumni Association Pigskin PreGame party, Nourish Food Bank Luau and the Lively Evening for the Rutherford County Library system.
In 2021, Harmon and three partners opened Cedar Glade Brews. It is one of two operating breweries/taprooms in Rutherford County. This business has catapulted Harmon's ability to build community and a place where people can gather. CGB has swiftly become a third place for many people--drinkers and non-drinkers. The facility hosts many, many community events and private events and is integral in so many memories already.
One of Jonathan's most impressive feats was to land his wife, Elicia Fortner. The two were wed in October of 2022. Jonathan's most important job is to be the father of Jonas (18), McCoy (14), Maggie (13) and Judson (12) who attend school in the Rutherford Co. School System. Jonathan is a proud Alumni and supporter of Middle Tennessee State University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship and a master's degree in Business Education. "GO BLUE!".
